Captions (Live)
Captions are provided for all live audio content in synchronized media.
Principle 1: Perceivable · Guideline 1.2: Time-based Media
What each role can do
- Product manager
- Budget for live captioning, by a human captioner or a vetted automatic service, for every live event.
- Designer
- Design the live player with a visible captions toggle and space for captions that does not cover the speaker.
- Developer
- Integrate a real-time caption feed into the live stream and keep the delay as short as possible.
- Tester
- Join a live rehearsal and check caption accuracy, delay and the toggle on several devices.
